I surrender.

Fine I will post a blog. It's all the rage these days. Web 2.0! Time's Person of the Year! Even my dad has one! Go appa! =)

The title of my blog is Kwonzalez MD Warrior. Kwonzalez is my nickname from high school because everyone thinks I look Hispanic, or Mexican. It has stuck with me 10 years later. MD is my profession, Emergency Medicine 2nd year or PGY-2 (post-graduate year 2.) And Warrior is my class in World of Warcraft. (Look me up Skullcrusher server)

My life is very simple, so I will split up my entries into different categories by color.

BLUE = wife and family
RED = work
TAN = WOW
GREEN = working out
PURPLE = misc, sports, movies, TV, etc.

So here is a very quick starter to get this thing up to speed:

Nothing new to report... Wife is playing WOW. Family healthy, happy.

On the last week (day!) of my Toxicology rotation at the NYC Poison Control Center. Very interesting, high-yield material. We get lots of phone calls from different patients and hospitals about overdoses, suicidal ingestions, accidents, etc. Holidays are a very busy time for suicidal attempts... depressing. Also after tomorrow I will be done with sick call, hooray! Starting Monday, Downtown ED.

Currently reading: Tintinalli Chapter 32: Septic Shock (too much experimental therapy crap at end.. do not recommend!)

And here is a link to my legendary sword, Thunderfury! Very rare and difficult to get. The problem is, I never get to use it because my guild is falling apart. My old guild wants me back, probably because I got TF, and they need warriors. Don't know what's going to happen. I'm sure you all are dying to find out what happens =b

It is the beginning of January, and I'm out of shape. I will be noting my weight, % body fat each month, and workout compliance each entry. I plan to work out 16x a month, mostly weight training, some running, basketball.

Yuck this is worse than I thought:
WEIGHT: 139.0 lbs
BODY FAT: 20.1%
Compliance: January +0/3 days (16/28 needed)

For comparison's sake, at the end of my fourth year of medical school, approximately 1.5 years ago, I was 128 lbs, 14% body fat. Yep, residency and marriage will do that to you! We'll see how I do!

Still enjoy "D*** in a Box" on YouTube. Who doesn't?

College Saga is a college student's real life role-playing game spoof movie. Funny, but long.. after episode 1 you get the idea. I haven't watched past Episode 3.

Not too interested in sports right now =b Probably won't even watch the BCS championship. Kinda waiting for baseball to get started. I like the Mets.

Mark McGwire? I think he should get into the HoF, and I imagine after this initial uproar about steroids he will. He won't get in this time of course. In my mind, it's MLBs fault for not regulating or keeping the whole steroid problem under control when it was obvious he and others were juicing. I thought Bill Simmons' take on the controversy was entertaining, but cynical. Rob Neyer of course breaks it down by the numbers, kind of. I most agree with Keith Law's opinions.
